MULTIMEDIA - We've made a small change to our videos section. As each new video is posted, an older video that will no longer fit on the main page is removed from the page. Those videos are now posted on the Video Archive page. The link to this page is located near the bottom of the Multimedia Video sidebar.

VIDEOSERMON - Members of the congregation are starting off the new year with the Daniel's Fast, and we are starting out the new year online with a new video, titled "Christians should not be afraid".

MOBILE - Our mobile website is up an running again. Simply type in our regular web address on your mobile device and you will be pointed to our mobile site.

.ORG, .NET, what is it? The move of our files to our new hosting service is complete, and the website is now under the ".net" suffix. For the time being, you can still access our website by typing in plainville.org. However, at some future point we will be abandoning our old hosting site, and temporarily the ".org" domain with it. So, if you try to get into the site and you are greeted with a "404 webpage missing" error, simply type .net or .info to get to our site. Got it?

Who We Are

The Plainville church is a Bible believing, Christian church located just outside the small town of Plainville, in northwest Georgia. Our church is affiliated with the Church of God of Prophecy, which is headquartered in nearby Cleveland, TN.

Our Mission

The main goals of this body of believers are:

1. To spread the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, first to those who are seeking Him, and then to those who do not know Him,

2. To provide a place of worship and fellowship for other believers in Christ,

3. To be a light in our surrounding community and our world through the teachings found in the Bible, God's inspired, inerrant word.

Our Worship

Our worship services are loosely based on congregational worship, special singing, praise and worship, and the word of God. However, we strongly believe in the leadership of the Holy Spirit and follow God's direction in our services.

In addition to our regularly scheduled services, the church sponsors a number of ministries for different ages and groups. These groups include mens and womens groups, youth ministries, and adult ministries.

An Open Invitation

If you are not a member of the Plainville Church and you are seeking a place to worship God, we issue an invitation to you to come and join us in our services. You don't have to be a member of our church, or any other church to fellowship with us. You also need not be a Christian - our highest calling is to serve those who do not know salvation as only Jesus Christ can offer.
